A figure of good? One of my favorites is Martin Luther King, not faultless but a figure of good in my opinion.

Schindler was a great man. He was a womaniser/swinger and did many "sinful" things but the fact that he tried to help the Jews was enough for me, and for them. I think sometimes being good is overcoming your own obstacles and sticking your neck out for others - and just in doing that you've nullified some evil.
All living things are always on the good side if they are properly structured to become friendly when treated properly at birth. A person only becomes bad if they are treated wrongly or have been raised up wrong.
Not true, I think your personality comes into affect here. When I was growing up with my little brother and sister they were both treated right and lovingly/nicely and I watched them grow and develop personalities - and no amount of teaching, discipline, or anything could change them.
For example Lauren is like me. She's pretty aggressive without meaning to be and she's boisterous and strong just like I was as a child. She orders and bosses people around, probably without realising. No amount of "hey darls you're being bossy, do you want to re-word that" or "sweety you're not the mummy, don't tell him what to do" or "use your nice voice" comments ever made it lessen or stop, and neither did time outs, groundings, or spankings. I am in NO way saying that is evil just saying that it's something that's a part of her.
I was like that growing up too, and I didn't learn to be nice until I was much older (she's reaching that time now). When I was a teenager I was heavily mistreated by all around me but I did not turn evil, in fact it made me want to be good more than ever.
I think it depends on the person because some people might go hell bent on revenge and others will go hell bent on forgiveness. It depends on your personality/temperament I think.
