Usually this is because the debate is going nowhere, is overdone/old, or is time sensitive (current events) and may not make sense to someone viewing it years later. This happens periodically and may not happen to all debates.

PLEASE PREFIX YOUR TOPIC WITH "[Debate]"
OR "[Discussion]"!!

Please respect other peoples opinions. This is for friendly debates and discussions! You shouldn't get offended if someone disagrees with you or thinks you're wrong or if you disagree with someone else or think they're wrong. Let's all just continue to play nice and enjoy the fact that different people have different points of views :).
