So, we have lots of plans for the future, including some awards and things....
and some of these will be prizes....
etc...
I can't give away too much <> .

But did you know that pressing the thumbs up/down buttons on peoples posts (and giving a valid reason) is one way you can earn one of those prizes which might end up being money or of great value to you?! Also having those buttons pressed for you may end up being one of those ways too! ;D

Also it makes people FEEL GOOD. And everyone has their own little karma booklet on their profiles and there's a big log of it under Recent Activity which you can view here because you're too lazy to click the menu. Scary how much I know you all isn't it? :P

So who's using the karma system to like or dislike peoples posts? :D

Ha ha you're welcome! I was sick and tired of joining 60+ sites for each of my creative passions/pursuits and I figured others would be too...so I try to cover everything here :D.

Well, you have done an excellent job! I have several forums I post on...but this one is one of my very favorites! The other favorites are the gardening forums I am a member of. (I am an AVID gardener!)

Every morning I get up, and while I am getting my coffee or tea, (depending on the level of caffeine I feel I require),  I hit my power button on my laptop and bring up my forums in their own tabs. I settle in for either a morning or afternoon of posting and chatting with folks here and on the garden forums. :)

You can have small garden even if all you have is an apartment. There are loads of creative ways to have indoor gardens that aren't hard to take care of at all. I have to tell you, though, the quickest and easiest way to have a really SWEET indoor garden is to get an aerogrow. Even just a small area on a counter top will work for one of these awesome little all-in-one hydro gardens. Loads of people get hooked and buy many more of these things and turn a closet or a whole room into a really nifty indoor garden that is SUPER easy to care for and is REALLY easy on the juice.  Here is the link for the indoor gardens we use...and I will post a series of other ideas with pics as I find them and put the tutorial(s) together.

Nah I just I don't have the space. I think I will stick to potplants and keep one by the door and one in the bathroom, maybe even one on the fridge :D. When I have my own place I can have a bigger garden but I don't want one to grow me food atm cause it's too much stress just thinking about it lol.

I only do it occasionally.

Wanna know why? I kinda hate having to leave a comment about it, lol. Sometimes, I really just want to give a "thumbs up" without having to specifically tell someone why their post is awesome. So sometimes, I click the button, and then remember I have to leave a comment with my name attached to it and I back right back out. I know that's silly and rather unfair considering we all love getting feedback, but I'm having an overly honest day today, so there it is. ;)

You can just write "funny" or "agree" if you like :).

That sounds like a great idea - I'd definitely be up for that!  I think that people don't always take notice of the karma buttons (myself included!) but if they were tied to competitions I think people would make a more conscious effort.

I'm looking forward to seeing what else you come up with  :)

About Bunny
Jade Elizabeth is an eccentric young woman who enjoys writing stories and poems with hidden deeper meanings. She is quoted saying “Writing to me is not a hobby. It's a passion. It's something that lets my thoughts expose themselves, and my heart shine through where other art could not.

Commonly her poems are inspired by love or depression, and are dedicated to the people who encouraged the emotion. Given the chance she will readily pull her poems apart, exposing the deeper and hidden meanings behind her words.

Her stories are usually unspoken messages to those close to her – giving every story a hidden meaning. Some things are better left unsaid, or in her case, expressed indirectly through stories.

Jade used to write Documentation for Simple Machines in her free time, but has since begun studying and working, which takes up most of her free time now.
