Title: Would you enter a BRS competition?
Post by: Bunny on 03:24pm Thu, Apr 9, 2009
I'm just wondering. If no one's interested then I wont post the competitions I have planned, saves me looking like an idiot....however if you guys are interested in a competition then I will post them :D.

Competitions would include prizes, be they cash value for online sites (like iTunes, magazine subscriptions, etc) or physical ones (to be sent).

Bunny,
This would be my first time entering, but I'm game.  I don't care about the prizes, although they sound great, I just look forward to the feedback.
Jazz :yay:

Where I'm at in my career, as BRS competition would not do me any favours in the long run. The prizes might be cool, but I am supposed to be writing and publishing in places where possible employers will understand the value of my work. That's not saying you guys rock here, but that it's not the right place for my work.

If it was in my preferred genre - which is non-fiction - yes, I'd be up for it. I'm very competitive in everything I do, so I'd definitely go for this. Fiction? Probably not. I can do fiction, but I'm not really happy with it, so I certainly wouldn't go for it in a competition.

I would be up for a compettion and prizes are AOK with me. It can be used as a writing credit or a writing prize, of which I have none. Hook me up!
