Hello there everyone

I'm a nervous wannabe writer based in Kent, England. My genre of choice is fantasy (especially fantasy romance) but I've dabbled with straight romance, paranormal and occasionally science fiction. My biggest challenge is actually finishing something!

Hopefully the support and advice from the lovely people here will be able to push me a little bit further towards my goal of getting a novel published, and in the meantime I look forward to getting to know you all a bit more.

About JRose
Jamie Rose is my pen name and has been ever since I was twelve and decided that a writer was what I really wanted to be. We'd both like to think that there's been a bit of improvement since then!

I'm not published, partly because I haven't really tried. Reality imposed and insisted that I needed a "proper" job so writing became something of a hobby. I've recently revived the idea of being a writer (as opposed to a wannabe novelist) but haven't yet had anything published under my own name, instead I've been growing my confidence by doing ghost-written web content.

In real life, I juggle a part-time job with looking after three small children, one cat and one husband. When I'm not squeezing in some reading and writing time, I get sporadically addicted to random computer games. I also love DIY and crafts, but while I'm brilliant at coming up with ideas for projects, and even planning them meticulously, I'm not so good at finishing them off, much to my husband's frustration.
