The past year I have had to spend a lot of time driving around, so I finally started listening to audiobooks. It is pretty expensive to buy them, so I looked into what my local library offers, and I am amazed at the selection!! They have an app called Overdrive that works on almost all smartphones, tablets and computers and a really nice collection of free audio books that have kept me entertained for the past year.

They have lots of ebooks on there too and everything is automatically returned so there are no late fees. Pretty cool!

I FREAKING LOVE AUDIOBOOKS!! I would never manage listening to one while driving though . I might ask my library if they have some digital copies, that's pretty damn sweet!

I have overdrive, too and use it with the iPad all the time. I really like reading better than audiobooks, but they would definitely be great for someone who had to be driving a lot and wanted something to entertain your mind.
I get the ebooks, and I have both the iPad and my Kindle e-reader, so I usually put the books on the e-reader now, since it is little and lightweight and so easy to carry around in my purse. 
Mine is not a regular tablet , like the Kindle fire, it is just for reading books on, but it can hold over a thousand books (well over what i want to put on there).  I usually store things in the cloud and then just download whatever books I want to be reading, that way they are very easy to find.
I got the Kindle on eBay for about $20, so it was pretty cheap, and well worth buying it.
