*Special requirements for agent, editor, publisher, professor, teacher, employer, and recruiter are that you have to be a fully qualified person in this field. You actually have to be a teacher, own a company that pays people, work for a company that recruits talented people, or be a qualified teacher/professor. These are to represent your full time jobs/career paths. If you own/work at a company that has asked you to employ/recruit contractors/freelancers/new people then you may be an employer or recruiter. If you are a qualified teacher/instructor and running actual classes you may be a teacher. If you are working in a university you may be a professor. If you are representing a publishing house you may be able to use the publisher badge. If you are a full time (or part time) qualified editor or agent you may be able to use the editor/agent badges.
*Special requirement for freelancer is that you have to be actively freelancing. It needs to be something you do every week or at least a fair amount. Freelancing isn't a hobby when it comes to this badge so if you do it as a hobby or when you need extra dough you are not the soft of freelancer we want to badge at this time (later we hope employers will target active freelancers, so having lots of hobby freelancers will be rather frustrating for them).
*Special requirement for web developer is that you actually have to know how to build a website, plugin, and/or other code things by yourself from scratch. If you use a website or program that builds it for you may not be a web developer by definition of this badge. Ask yourself this: Can I build a website/plugin in notepad using only google every now and then for things I've forgotten? Can I build a website that uses a database? Is the thought of using notepad to build even one page extremely painful to me? If you answered yes to any of those, especially the last one, you are a web developer.
*Special requirements for bunny buddy and helping hand: these groups are extremely special. Helping hands are people who help writers and other creative people and have their blogs posted here automatically - to help more. Bunny buddies are affiliates who are joining us or have joined us for joint community competitions, ad swaps, and more. These badges are given to members because they are part of special programs; they cannot be applied for.
