Here's a little bit of information regarding what staff do around here! We're looking for new staff members literally all the time so if you're even a little bit interested please let us know, we'd be happy to answer any questions or concerns!
Essentially staff need to:
- Be involved in discussions in the staff areas, and bring new discussions to the table
- keep up to date with those discussions so that we can all decide what we're doing and be prepared
- Post outside of staff areas every now and then (we need staff who are involved in the community)
In the staff section there are two topics which tell staff what they need to do in lots of detail. Below is a part of one of the topics which outlines each teams tasks. These are the things a team should focus on, but if a member of one team wants to have input on another teams area that's MORE than welcome!
The two topics have lots and lots of links in them to help staff navigate to sections and areas quickly, and help them figure out where to post things too. If anyone needs help they're more than welcome to ask in the staff area or PM me or another member of staff if they want to receive help privately.

All Teams
- Welcome new members
- Treat members and their works with respect and integrity
- All things assigned to the Community Team are the responsibility of all staff members with access to the Community Development board.
Community Team
- Fresh ideas for expansion
- Bringing up community issues – even if they're with staff members
- Bringing up any community or site issue that affects members negatively
- New competition ideas
- New site themes
- Event and activity ideas
- Feature ideas
- Beta testing
- Discussing anything that can enhance a members experience on BRS
Marketing Team
- External Marketing
- Manning Social Networking account(s)
- Managing/Creating BRS advertisements
- Managing outside issues and perception (like negative feedback etc)
- Advertising BRS events, features, etc
- Internal Marketing
- Managing advertisements displayed on site
- Managing affiliates, and program participants (such as Helping Hands)
- Managing internal/on-site hooks and events
- Competition (finding out what the competition has and ways to trump/avoid it)
- Press releases
- Merchandise
- Fund raising
- Event planning
Development Team
- Code Development
- Managing files
- Managing code in/out
- Developing and tweaking features and website
- Manage site security
- Make code manageable, customisable, and accessible
- Design Development
- Creating graphics/layouts for BRS projects (advertisement, banners, text documents etc)
- Overseeing new feature and theme development (design wise)
- Enhance site features and layout, and make it accessible
- Beta testing
- New feature ideas
- Research new themes, trends, and advancements
- Present relevant and new knowledge
- Bug fixes
Legal Team
- Respond quickly, objectively, and professionally to issues
- Discuss and prepare for legal issues
- Discuss ways to avoid legal issues
- Correspond with lawyers and complainants
- Update legal documents on site (TOS, etc)
Moderation Team
- Enforce the TOS/Rules
- Respond quickly, objectively, and professionally to issues and reports
- Alert Staff to potential and past member issues that may arise in our community
- Alert staff to any problem members
- Discuss member vs member and member vs staff issues
- Discuss punishments on a case by case basis
- Manage RSS imports board by preparing Helping Hand topics (ONLY) to be moved public
