Mossy, mangled
gap-toothed
terrace
strewn with
verdant bones
and crumpled flesh,
curled and dessicated.
Black knights linger
among the mouldering
remains,
seeking festering treasures,
finding none,
swishing along arms
bowed with age
and length,
capering back and forth,
sentries defending
a kingdom untouched
by living beings,
guardians of a
netherworld
above
