Lucy woke up suddenly to the terrifying sounds of a female screaming. She was surrounded by darkness, but bright light filtered through a narrow crack which must have been a closed door. Her body ached and her throat was dry and sore. She swallowed hard. Heavy chains were fastened to her ankles, cutting in to her bare skin. She wore no shoes, just an old pair of shorts and a thin singlet.
Lucy tried to sit up, but a bolt of pain seared through her small body. She groaned in agony. Her head hurt and as she raised her hand to touch it she felt thick, wet liquid – blood.
Reaching out with her arms she felt a cold stone wall next to her. The floor was also stone and felt like it was covered in a layer of dirt and small sharp rocks scattered sparsely.
Another ear piercing scream came from a nearby room and Lucy whimpered in fear. She could hear people talking, low, rough voices just barely audible over the girls horrifying cries.
“Dis good Dal, you did good Dal!” a man spoke, slightly slurring at his words.
“Don’t eat with your mouth full!” snapped a deep womans voice, followed by a slapping sound. The first voice cried out in pain.
“Dal, pass me that plate.” The woman ordered.
“What about that their other one?” asked another voice, an older sounding male.
“Here, give this to her.” replied the woman. The sound of metal banging on metal made Lucy shudder.
Lucy listened as someone moved closer to the doorway. She could see a shadow under the door, and could hear keys jingling.
The door opened with a creak and she had to shield her eyes from the bright light coming from the other side of her small dark prison.
A tall, wide man stood in the door frame. He looked young, no more that 20 she guessed. He wore dirty stained overalls and had dark, long oily hair.
“Dinner time!” he said cheerfully. He put a plate at her side and a bottle of water. She grabbed the water and swallowed half the contents in one go.
“You drink funny.” He said, watching her carefully.
“Who are you?” she asked, wiping her mouth. “Where am I?”
“Ma and Dal call me Bert. You can call me Bert, too.” He smiled a lopped sided smile. “Dis is my home. You like my home?”
“No I don’t like your home!” she snapped “Why am I here?”
“Coz Dal found you and that there other girl, asleep in the woods in one of those them colourful roof things.”
“We were camping. We were sleeping in our tent.” She replied, suddenly remembering.
“Tent.” He repeated, the word sounding foreign as if he had never spoke the word before. “Camping.”
“Where is Jenny? The other girl?” she asked.
“Jenny. We got her out there, she having dinner with us.” He replied, nodding his large head.
“Then why is she crying?” asked Lucy.
“Oh, she doesn’t like what we having for dinner. I’d let you see her but Ma won’t let me. I’m not supposed to play with you.”
As if on cue, the gruff sounding woman yelled out to Bert.
“I have to go. But I’ll come back tomorrow and we can be friends.” He said as he pulled the door shut behind him.
Lucy reached for the plate he had brought in to her. She gagged at the rich over powering smell. She poked at the soft food with her finger. She was almost certain that the contents on the plate was raw, bloody, meat.

Some time had passed though Lucy didn’t know if it was night or day. She couldn’t hear anybody talking. There was no more screaming coming from the other room, no sounds that anybody was walking about near the doorway. Her stomach growled in hunger. She took another sip from the water bottle, hoping to help her hunger.
She tried to stand, her legs wobbling awkwardly. The chain on her ankle was attached to the wall, but it was long enough for her to walk to the other side of the small room, a cold stone wall on that side too. The room held no furniture. Her back ached from sleeping on the stone floor. She tried tugging at the chains on her ankles but they would not let up. Crying in defeat, Lucy curled up into a ball in the corner and waited.

Each day Bert brought her a plate of raw meat and each day she refused to eat it, surviving off the cool water he brought instead.
One day Bert didn’t show, but his mother did. She stood in the doorway, almost taking up the whole frame. She was a large woman with wild frizzy red hair. She held a batted walking stick in one hand and a large metal bucket in the other.
She poked fiercely at Lucy with her stick.
“You are all skin and bones.” She said. “And not even a pretty one. I don’t know what Dal saw in you.”
“What do you want with me?” cried Lucy. She barely recognised her own voice. She was weak and hungry and aching all over.
The large woman placed the bucket next to Lucy.
“Thought it was time you had a bath. Now make sure you clean good. There’s a sponge in that there bucket.” The woman didn’t seem to be leaving so Lucy took the sponge and started washing herself, pretending the woman wasn’t there.
When she was finished the woman took the bucket back and threw her a large rag before leaving the small room. Lucy dried herself all over. Surprisingly she felt refreshed. She lay the damp rag down and lay on top of it, a small comfort after sleeping on the stone floor for so long.
Some time later the door opened again and Bert came in. He didn’t bring food or water this time.
“Ma says I come get you now!” he beamed. He undid the chains around her ankles. Then he lifted her up over his shoulders. Lucy tried to hit him but she was too weak to do any harm to the large man.
“Ma and Dal have everything ready for you. I can’t wait, I been waiting for this since the moment I saw you. Mmm, you sure do smell good.”
Bert carried her out into another room where he flung her down on a hard surface. Her head hit the surface hard, and she winced at the pain. Bert grimaced.
“Sorry.” He said. “Now keep still.”
He tied her arms above her head then spread her legs and tied them in place also. He pulled out a large knife from his belt. Lucy gasped, and started to cry.
“Please! Please don’t hurt me Bert! We are friends, remember?” Lucy pleaded.
He cut open her dirty singlet and shorts and peeled her clothes off her. Lucy watched him smile as he looked over her naked body.
“You sure are pretty,” he whispered. He leant down to kiss her face. She tried to move away but he held her head still with his strong hands. His breath felt hot and uncomfortable and his lips like sand paper on her own. He moved down and kissed her neck, her breasts, her belly and her thighs. Then he moved his mouth back up to her breasts, massaging them with his tongue. She whimpered in defeat as he took her nipple in his mouth.
Suddenly Lucy felt a sharp pain and let out an ear piercing scream. Bert sat up alarmed, blood dripping from his mouth.
He swallowed the flesh he had bitten off quickly.
“No! No, don’t cry! Ma will be mad at me!”
“You bit me you fucking psycho!” she screamed, struggling to break free from her bonds.
Suddenly she saw two more people hovering above her, Ma and the man she guessed was Dal.
“What are you doing you oaf?” yelled Ma, hitting him across the face violently.
“You don’t get to start her without us!” yelled Dal, as Bert climbed off Lucy.
Dal took out a large hunting knife and dug it into Lucy’s thigh. She let out another ear piercing scream as he sliced off a bit of her thigh and brought it to his mouth. He slowly licked the piece of flesh, letting the blood drip slowly over his lips. His eyes lit up as he took the piece into his mouth and chewed on it.
“I just wanted to play with it first.” Sulked Bert.
“I’ve told you before,” said Ma, cutting off her own piece of thigh. “Don’t play with your food!”

Ok..that was ... weird :/ But funny.. in a sick, gross sort of way.

Content aside..it is extremely well written. You left much up to the imagination of the reader... always a good thing with writing. There was a part of me that didnt want to keep reading..but it was so well written I felt compelled to. Excellent work. :D

I will pretty much read anything that is well written... having the ability to write in such a way that others cant help but keep reading..no matter the topic is indeed a great skill.
