So many people miss this simple thing and get angry because their soap isnt scented enough, yet, with this simple trick you can smell like your favourite soap or shower gel for hours, if not all day (depending on person, place, and activity of course). This guide is for girls and guys alike!!
Step One: PreparingPick your favourite soap, and if you prefer shower gel, pick that too, and get under the shower water! Make sure you're nice and wet so your soap will lather. If you're washing your hair this shower, as some people wash theirs every second, please make the time to do so before step two. Once you've washed it, if it's long, please tie it up so that the soap on your back and shoulders doesnt undo the work of your conditioner and dry your hair out.
Step Two: WashingRegardless of whether you prefer shower gel or soap, you will need to wash your body off quickly first. For this step use regular soap and rub it over your body, washing as normal. I prefer Dial Antibacterial soap bars because it lathers really well and makes me feel clean. Any soap is okay, however, so if you need moisterising soap that's fine, use what ever you usually use. If it doesnt lather well, consider buying a loofah, a shower glove, or another body scrubber. These will help make it lather, which is important. If you decide to buy a loofah, I would advise you not to leave it in the shower unless you can be sure no one else will use it - It's just gross. The only thing I would consider sharing is the back scrubber. If you cannot afford these, try lathering on your arms or legs first - the hair there will help.
Loofah's come in mostly girly colours, however white, black, and dark colours are available.
Loofah back scrubbers are handy for the back, and hardly ever appear girly.
Shower gloves come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, and textures. They can come as animal critters, cartoon characters, and there are some guy designs and colours available.
Step Three: Smelling GOOD!!After your quick wash off, your skin wont have any lingering smells to interfere with this process, and since you washed your hair first there wont be any lingering oils either. If you can, angle the shower head away from your body or step out of its reach. Get your favourite smelly soap and lather it up well. I find it's best to do this with hands or a glove as loofah's tend to waste shower gel, and sometimes soap. Once it's lathered rub it all over your body and wait 30 seconds. Rub it over again, and continue rubbing over your body ever few seconds for a minute or two.
Step Four: Out!Once a minute or two has passed, rinse off and hop out of the shower as soon as you're done rinsing. You don't want to wash the smell away, just the soap! You should now smell like your favourite soap!
I prefer Warn Vanilla Sugar body wash, because it smells sweet. Of course, if I got the set I could back up my soap smell with the moisteriser. Let me know your favourite soap/gel scent!
