So many people miss this simple thing and get angry because their soap isnt scented enough, yet, with this simple trick you can smell like your favourite soap or shower gel for hours, if not all day (depending on person, place, and activity of course). This guide is for girls and guys alike!!

Step One: Preparing
Pick your favourite soap, and if you prefer shower gel, pick that too, and get under the shower water! Make sure you're nice and wet so your soap will lather. If you're washing your hair this shower, as some people wash theirs every second, please make the time to do so before step two. Once you've washed it, if it's long, please tie it up so that the soap on your back and shoulders doesnt undo the work of your conditioner and dry your hair out.

Step Two: Washing
Regardless of whether you prefer shower gel or soap, you will need to wash your body off quickly first. For this step use regular soap and rub it over your body, washing as normal. I prefer Dial Antibacterial soap bars because it lathers really well and makes me feel clean. Any soap is okay, however, so if you need moisterising soap that's fine, use what ever you usually use. If it doesnt lather well, consider buying a loofah, a shower glove, or another body scrubber. These will help make it lather, which is important. If you decide to buy a loofah, I would advise you not to leave it in the shower unless you can be sure no one else will use it - It's just gross. The only thing I would consider sharing is the back scrubber. If you cannot afford these, try lathering on your arms or legs first - the hair there will help.

Loofah's come in mostly girly colours, however white, black, and dark colours are available.

Loofah back scrubbers are handy for the back, and hardly ever appear girly.

Shower gloves come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, and textures. They can come as animal critters, cartoon characters, and there are some guy designs and colours available.

Step Three: Smelling GOOD!!
After your quick wash off, your skin wont have any lingering smells to interfere with this process, and since you washed your hair first there wont be any lingering oils either. If you can, angle the shower head away from your body or step out of its reach. Get your favourite smelly soap and lather it up well. I find it's best to do this with hands or a glove as loofah's tend to waste shower gel, and sometimes soap. Once it's lathered rub it all over your body and wait 30 seconds. Rub it over again, and continue rubbing over your body ever few seconds for a minute or two.

Step Four: Out!
Once a minute or two has passed, rinse off and hop out of the shower as soon as you're done rinsing. You don't want to wash the smell away, just the soap! You should now smell like your favourite soap!

I prefer Warn Vanilla Sugar body wash, because it smells sweet. Of course, if I got the set I could back up my soap smell with the moisteriser. Let me know your favourite soap/gel scent!

I didnt know they were called Loofah's... My grandma says she calls them "poofe's". I don't like them personally, they're a bit gross, but I've had a couple of gloves before.

Woah... I've always called them "poofs" LOL. A poufe was always what we called these mini bean bags we used to use as foot rests (that was their real name).

I had to google the name XD. I think they're gross too. I think gloves are gross as well. I never know if they're clean...that's why I got soap which lathers easily!

There was a recent study about loofas that said that it's much better to just use a bar of soap, because even if you wash your loofa every day, there's still bacteria growing in the string that's hard to wash off!

Yeah, see, they're dirty!!! lol

They've always felt really gross to me. I can often see dirt or hair caught in the netting and it worries me.

Here's an alternative method:

Step one: Eat lots of brusslesprouts and beans. Swallow lots of air while you're at it.
Step two: Eat your favorite soap.
Step three: Fart and fart some more.

Wow! I'd try that. I just hope it works here. I'm living in a tropical country.

Your post makes me want to soak up and curl in the bath.  Excellent choice of body wash scent if I may add.  Sweet to the nose it is.  But I preferred mine minty and cool. Just like the B&B Stress Relief Eucalyptus Spearmint.  The smell gives me the feeling that I am in Spa house or something.  Calming. Relaxing. Invigorating.

That does sound very nice!! :D

I used to have this AMAZING strawberries and cream shampoo that actually smelled like real strawberries and cream, it would make your mouth water like nothing before it...but they stopped making it. I wish they kept it going because it was unlike anything since.

About Bunny
Jade Elizabeth is an eccentric young woman who enjoys writing stories and poems with hidden deeper meanings. She is quoted saying “Writing to me is not a hobby. It's a passion. It's something that lets my thoughts expose themselves, and my heart shine through where other art could not.

Commonly her poems are inspired by love or depression, and are dedicated to the people who encouraged the emotion. Given the chance she will readily pull her poems apart, exposing the deeper and hidden meanings behind her words.

Her stories are usually unspoken messages to those close to her – giving every story a hidden meaning. Some things are better left unsaid, or in her case, expressed indirectly through stories.

Jade used to write Documentation for Simple Machines in her free time, but has since begun studying and working, which takes up most of her free time now.
