Are you on a worldwide campaign to make Australia dominate the news, Jade? ;)

In the last few weeks I've come across dozens of articles and posts about things happening, not happening or about to happen in Australia, some of them in Melbourne specifically. I don't seek for them, so it's not something that I'm causing by my own actions. It's truly weird.

I wish I had compiled all the links so that I would paste them all here, as proof of the conspiracy.

The truth will come out!

Ha ha we're attention whores now that winter is over ha ha. That's when we all come out, you see?

But we're making a HUGE amount of headway in science. We have developed new vaccines, given people feeling back in their arms and legs after spinal injuries, reattached an internal decapitation without harm....we're pretty freaking awesome and on the ball right now :D.

We've also had a fair bit of fires rocking through our country on the first day of fire season. I've been a bit absent thanks to that, it was very emotional for me because they rocked through the town I grew up in. It felt like my heart were going up with it, along with my childhood memories.

But yeah, we're pretty awesome :D.

Quote
This morning police officers from the Mount Isa Hoverboard Unit were called to attend a traffic crash on Rodeo Drive.

A silver sedan had crashed into a power pole near the cinema.

When questioned what speed he was doing, the driver stated that he was doing 88 miles per hour.

A 17-year-old man was charged and was in possession of a licence which expired over 30 years ago.

Investigations into the vehicle and what a flux capacitor is, are ongoing.

The Mount Isa Cinema received a loss of power to the building.

Owner Jodi Saunders said the driver got out of the car and asked for a Pepsi.

“He also wanted to know when we would be playing Jaws 19,” Jodi Saunders said.

The damage to the power pole caused a power outage to the area.

Mount Isa Mayor Tony McGrady advised that the power outage caused damage to the town clock, which has stopped working.

“We have repairs underway to save the clock tower,” Mayor McGrady said.
