It's night again
My work shall begin
A mommy by morning
Systems Engineer in the evening.

It's funny how in my younger days
Midnight party and late sleep were my craze
But now in this "midlife" that I have
Bed, pillows, blankies are fab.

By the way
If I may say
While I go about playing with words
At the sides I'm working with motherboards.

When 5 am came
Finally, my work is done
Pillow and bed here I am
So laptop be gone.

Few minutes of snore or so later
I felt kisses on my cheeks and shoulder
My little angels up and about
To school they go somewhere south.

So while they learn
Engr. Mommy sleep a bit
So when night came, I'll earn
My cozy chair waiting for me to sit.

I do sound funny
Trying to build words that rhymes
When I could just say
What I feel and what I am.

About NorthStar
My mom said I could write before I learn how to talk. How cool is that, I know. I love to write and read and do anything creative. Growing up I plan to be a journalist. But during my college enrollment, the shortest line is for BS Computer Engineering and so the rest is history. Although I swapped my mighty pen to my laptop's keyboard, my passion for writing never ceased. And oops, before I forget, aside from reading and writing and be awesome, I also love to daydream.
