How does your character learn and figure things out best in life? Through hands on tackling, observation, thinking it through, being taught (can include reading), or trial and error?
Maybe they learn a different way? How does your character learn?

Most of my characters learn in a standard manner, but I have one that learns by telepathcially entering people's mind and just extracting the information instead of lessons and practice.
;)
-
By painful experiences generally.

What's a standard manner?
You have to know and define it to keep your character believable.

The hard way?
I dont know that i would call it the hard way, just a part of life.

I think the older characters I have know well enough to learn through observation and being taught. The good younger ones think it through, the not so bright ones have trial and error to fall back on. ;)

'standard way' - Lessons, hard choices, mistakes things most do daily.
The character I was referencing there, although fully developed, her story wasn't then. Her lessons, training and that sort of information she optimizes her learning process through the telepathy but obviously, like everyone/everything around us, she's quite fallible .
