The strange growth began appearing on 101-year-old Zhang Ruifang's forehead last year.
Since then it has reached more than two inches long — and a matching horn looks to be appearing on the other side.
The youngest of her six sons, Zhang Guozheng, 60, said when a patch of rough skin formed on her forehead last year "we didn't pay too much attention to it".
Mr Zhang, whose eldest brother and sibling is 82-years-old, added: "But as time went on a horn grew out of her head and it is now 6cm long.
"Now something is also growing on the right side of her forehead. It's quite possible that it's another horn."
Although it is unknown what the growth is, it resembles a cutaneous horn.
This is a funnel-shaped growth and although most are only a few millimetres in length, some can extend a number of inches from the skin.
The growths are most common in elderly people, aged between 60 and the mid-70s.

quick look around and it appears the
Cutaneous Horn is kinda common for elderly people. I've seen a few picks, some are on peoples faces, some on hands. Some are straight, others curly...
They're all different. There's ones on peoples foreheads, back of their heads, noses, ears, eyes...
Even worse than that, there's an Indonesian man who got HPV from a wound as a teenager and is known as Tree Man because he developed these horns all over his body. He developed them all over because he has some sort of genetic disorder which works against his immune system (no idea what) and it allowed the HPV warts to take over...His local doctors could not cure him, but he was brought to America for some surgeries. Google to find out what happened after that.
Anyway I thought it might be some interesting fuel for fantasy and science fiction if nothing else.
