Could have been worse though - you could have bought a shitty chocolate from a hot woman.

I did that once, but then I'm a sucker for hot women.  :grumpy:

I'll bet $10 the doc says to lay off the chocolate.

Oh stop your whining child!  MY day started out really well, progressed to "grrrrrrrr!!", rapidly dropped to "AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!" then bounced back up to "Phew! awesome!", only to come crashing down to "AAAAAAARRRGGGGGHHHHH" again 2 seconds ago.  I'm so emotionally drained!! ;P

Aww, that sucks.

Do you get any pleasure in other people's misery? If so, then my friend's current 'bad day' might bring you some enjoyment.

He works downtown and has to take the skytrain down every day. This morning, on one of the trains, someone lifted his wallet. At the stop where he switches trains halfway in between, transit cops were waiting. Because his wallet was gone, so was his transit pass.... which smacked him with a $200 fine. And because he had no wallet, he also couldn't buy a ticket right then to get to work or to home either one. He forgot his phone at home, so couldn't call anyone to get him. He waited downtown for about an hour until the transit patrol cleared out and then hopped a train back to his place. He spent the afternoon trying to get his cards blocked and replaced -and- had to miss another day of work, which means he's even farther behind.

The worst part for him, though? He has just finally bought enough hats at his favorite hat shop in order to get a free one. The card was in his wallet and now he can't get it. Lol! :P

@QuirkyJessi ... I won't even watch funniest home videos, cause I don't see what's so funny about other people's miseries.  Must be an age thing, cause I used to laugh at it in my 20's! ;D  Tell your friend that if he's bought enough hats at the same store, they should know him well enough to honour his prior purchases and give him the free hat.  If they don't, tell him to email me and I'll sort them out for him! >;D

I suddenly feel pretty good after reading those adventures. I actually woke up in a bad mood and thought 'Another bad day for me ..". I almost feel sorry for feeling better after reading  these posts. There are always people who are having an even worse day :)

Talking of bad days ... There was an item in our local newspaper a while back about a man who had chest pains while he was driving. He pulled off the road as he thought he might be having a heart attack. That was exactly what was happening, and as if that wasn't bad enough, a lorry coming the other way veered off the road and ploughed into him him, killing him before the heart attack had done the job.

I know I shouldn't have, but I just couldn't help laughing at that one. It just wasn't his day, was it?

Exactly! Oh the irony!

I feel bad for him, no doubt, but it's so ridiculous that you can't help but shake your head and smile a little. That's how I end up feeling after a long day of where everything feels like it's going wrong. At some point, I just start laughing and thinking "Really? What else could go wrong? This is just too ridiculous to be real."

Whenever I have one of those hot chocolate all over me running to the doctor days, I just think of one thing: I imagine I'm in a movie, a really awesome, smart and funny as heck rom-com. Then I laugh. Then I imagine the next scene! Suddenly I'm writing a scene and I'm letting my imagination take over.

Lemons? Meet lemon-freaken-aid!

About Bunny
Jade Elizabeth is an eccentric young woman who enjoys writing stories and poems with hidden deeper meanings. She is quoted saying “Writing to me is not a hobby. It's a passion. It's something that lets my thoughts expose themselves, and my heart shine through where other art could not.

Commonly her poems are inspired by love or depression, and are dedicated to the people who encouraged the emotion. Given the chance she will readily pull her poems apart, exposing the deeper and hidden meanings behind her words.

Her stories are usually unspoken messages to those close to her – giving every story a hidden meaning. Some things are better left unsaid, or in her case, expressed indirectly through stories.

Jade used to write Documentation for Simple Machines in her free time, but has since begun studying and working, which takes up most of her free time now.
