I love my iPad, but the last few days, it has been a total pain !  We jut got a new update for iOS8.  the new Apple operating system for iPads , and iPhones.
I am not having any problems with the phone, but that is probably because all I do with it is make phone calls or take pictures, and now and then , send a text message.
However, the iPad is another matter completely !
According to Google (the Ultimate Authority), it says that there is some kind of a glitch between the new iOS8 and Safari , theApple version of Internet Explorer.  So, now; I can no longer upload a picture , and maybe can't download one either. I can't copy and paste a link.
 This is extremely frustrating when I am on a forum !  I belong to a news forum, and I can't post any news stories because I can't add the link to the article.
Sometimes, I am in the middle of doing something, and the iPad will just freeze up. I am not sure if this is part of the Safari problem, or something else.  In any case, it is all completely frustrating.
Hopefully, Apple will have it taken care of in another day or so; I am sure they are working hard to fix the problem.


Next time we get a software or OS update, i am going to wait a week to make sure there are no more bugs in it before I install it !
I am so glad that the iPad is usually very dependable, and I seldom have trouble with it; I really depend on it for my internet time.

Hmmm. I have an ipad but haven't had any issues with the IOS. Have you tried using a different browser? I actually don't use Safari for anything, and downloaded the Chrome browser to use instead. That could solve the incompatibility issue.

As for the freezing, yeah, my Ipad does that too. It's super frustrating. I'll be in the middle of doing something and the app will suddenly close out. I don't have any answers for that one- I just try to keep it light on the storage side and not overload it with too many apps or tabs on my browser at once!

Since Apple came out with the upgrade to iOS 8, things have gone a whole lot better.   There are still some glitches; but I think some of those are just with forums or webpages that have software that isn't compatible with the iOS 8 yet.
There are some things that I really like about the new system, and some that could have just stayed how they were and I would have been happier.
One of the new things, I haven't decided whether I like it yet or not. 
Whenever my iPhone rang (which fortunately is not often), my iPad would now "ring" too.   It was kind of annoying. but now, I have learned that the reason that it does this is because I can  answer phone calls with the iPad ! !
Who would have thought of that ? ? 
I haven't actually ttried doing that yet because my daughter just explained it to me today; but I think it will be interesting to try it out.
