Watchmen, ghost world, even Tintin!

It's pretty cool. I wonder if there's any correlation with society as the reason why they're hot (and what that link is)?

It's got Watchmen, Miracleamn, Sandman, Maus, and The Dark Knight Returns.

I need to read the other ones, obviously.

I've only read three on the list (Watchmen, Sandman and Maus). At the end of this semester I will add Fun Home to the list.

And here's where I'm not going to be a big help: I didn't like anything but Maus. I figure Maus is so popular because it blends the high art low art thing that graphic novels are doing with the Holocaust, which is still a topic that people are obsessed with. I really do think that if Maus hadn't been about the Holocaust it wouldn't have made the list. I've read other history based graphic novels and they've never made it on a top 10 list.

Watchmen, Sandman and Tintin are quite popular. I need to catch up with other comics, though.

Of the books on the list I've read Watchmen, Maus and The Dark Knight Returns. I don't think I've read this particular Tintin book.

Out of all of these, Watchmen is the only one I've read, and I loved it. Watchmen is interesting because it deconstructs the superhero genre. The movie was good too.

Ghost World looks interesting. The only graphic novel I would like like read is the Vampire Academy series.

They included some great titles, but sorry - it's not good enough because Witchblade was not on the list, ha! :)

I wish I had the artistic skill to create a graphic novel.  My art skills are absolutely abysmal.  I've tried learning, but the girl teaching me couldn't get it through my head that I needed to use the other side of my brain.

In my opinion the best comic book of all time is The Walking Dead. It is incredible Kirkman is a genius he will kill of a main character at the drop of a hat and the story is focused on the people of the apocalypse and not the zombies themselves.

Yer you definitely should. I have a friend who doesn't read any comics and he thinks they are stupid, come to think of it I don't know why we are friends :P but he has made an exception for The Walking Dead because the story is just so good.

Another good comic I started recently is Saga. A bit more fantasy its kind of like is Game of Thrones met Star Wars and had a baby which was then raised by The Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy.

About Bunny
Jade Elizabeth is an eccentric young woman who enjoys writing stories and poems with hidden deeper meanings. She is quoted saying “Writing to me is not a hobby. It's a passion. It's something that lets my thoughts expose themselves, and my heart shine through where other art could not.

Commonly her poems are inspired by love or depression, and are dedicated to the people who encouraged the emotion. Given the chance she will readily pull her poems apart, exposing the deeper and hidden meanings behind her words.

Her stories are usually unspoken messages to those close to her – giving every story a hidden meaning. Some things are better left unsaid, or in her case, expressed indirectly through stories.

Jade used to write Documentation for Simple Machines in her free time, but has since begun studying and working, which takes up most of her free time now.
