In the Game I've been developing the past six months, there are three security guards, one of which is the one you see below.

Yes incomplete at the present time, but I will be updating within the following weeks.

What I want to ask is, What do you think of his design and what I should do/change to improve him?

Do shopping mall security guards usually carry swords and wear heavy armour?

Well I was feeling really uninspired with the sketch and felt like he needed a little something but no they normally don't

Maybe you're going about it all wrong then and you need to go back to the basics. What do they wear, what do they need? Draw that, and then maybe add cool stuff. This guy doesn't look like a mall cop, he doesn't even look like a swordsman.

I think you need to start with observing the subject matter in video, picture, etc before you can really feel inspired to make it.

I don't really need to go back to basics, this is a game and I know in the real world this character wouldn't have a sword but my game isn't real world, Ill take your advice into consideration, I got three other guards to do, so I'll take your approach thanks Bunny

I just don't feel like I'd recognise it as a guard if I were playing, maybe colouring it will help ha ha. If it came at me now I would think it's a psycho trying to kill me .
