Bookbub just sent me a notice that There is a book on self-editing that is for sale for FREE on Amazon. It is called "Self-editing on a Penny; a Comprehensive Guide".
They usually only have these books for free for a few days; so if you are interested in this kind of a tutorial book; then you should go to Amazon and check it out right away.
Here is the Goodreads review of the book so you can see if it looks like something that you want or not.

Thanks, I am going to take a look at this now. I hope it is still available. Yes, I could do with a self editing book too! lol.

I rushed over, but looks like I missed this one. Please put download instructions with next one, just in case I am doing something wrong. I tried everything!

LOL, I thought the same thing ;)

I am subscribed to BookBub. I've already downloaded a bunch of books. The /r/FreeEBOOKS subreddit is also a good source of free material. Most of it is not good, but sometimes something really really cool comes up.

EDIT: Is there already a thread for good sources of free, legal ebooks? We could curate one.

I just looked and it is back up to $3.99 now, which is still pretty cheap for a self-editing book.
To get a Kindle book, you need to have an Amazon account first. Then, sign up for one-click ordering. that way when you find a free book (or just want to buy one), then you can easily download it to your Kindle app.
If you do not have a Kindle or a Kindle app, you can download one for free on any computer or laptop.

Then, it should be simple for you to get the free books.
Sign up for Bookbub, and they will let you know when the books you are interested in are free.  (we have threads here on both the kindle library and Bookbub).

Even if it is $4, that is still a great deal. The biggest problem I have with writing is comma usage, so a chapter on that alone would be worth it's weight in gold. I get quite a few articles kicked back to me for revisions because I put a comma where it does not belong or don't put a comma in where it does belong.

About happyflowerlady
I am a senior lady, now retired; and want to learn about becoming a freelance writer, so  I can supplement my Social Security pension.
I enjoy yardwork and gardening in the summer, and like to knit and crochet in the cold winter months.
I seldom watch television, but I  do like to read, both for entertainment, and for education.
I grew up in North Idaho, and am basically a country girl, and now enjoying the warmer climate here in the Sunny South.

Writing Style
I like to write short articles about current events, stories about my life, and usually have a bit of humor to add to the mix. When I am telling a story, I want people to feel like they are right there with me, and visualizing every thing I am describing.
