Really loving this song and its lyrics right now. I'm not depressed but I get it. I'm pretty sick at the moment and it popped into my head as "hello fever my old friend" ha ha.

Have a listen. It's the best quality :D.

Simon and Garfunkel have been one my favorite music acts for a long time now.
Sound of Silence of course is their most popular song, but my favorite would be "The Dangling Conversation". It possesses a certain feeling of melancholy and beauty that few other songs have achieved.
This is my personal favorite verse from the song:

Yes, we speak of things that matter,
With words that must be said,
"Can analysis be worthwhile?"
"Is the theater really dead?"
And how the room is softly faded
And I only kiss your shadow,
I cannot feel your hand,
You're a stranger now unto me
Lost in the dangling conversation.
And the superficial sighs,
In the borders of our lives.

Since I grew up in northern Idaho, where all music was Country Music, I was never much into the popular "rock" songs of the day; but I remember "Sounds of Silence" and I always liked that song. I think that it is the only Simon and Garfunkel song that I have ever heard though.  At least I don't remember hearing any other songs by them, so if I did; it must not have made an impression on me.

Another singer from that era that I really  like is Kris Kristofferson. I used to have several of his albums, back in the days when music was recorded onto a record and played on a phonograph.
The kids and I used to always sing when we were driving somewhere in the car, and some of the Kristofferson songs were always on the list that we sang, along with some Harry Belafonte, and just other songs that we all knew and enjoyed.

Bad Alfren! BAD! Link me, gosh now I have to open a new tab and type youtube in and it's all hard as hell for me cause I'm a sick baby at the moment XD.

Not sure I like that one as much though Alfren, I like the lyrics but I think I like the softer singing more. It's that appeal I am in it for ha ha :D. Here's a HD link:

One of my all time favourites from them is Red Rubber Ball.

Also I ADORE The Boxer, absolutely amazing

HFL: Check the Boxer, you probably heard that one :D. That song has a really awesome similar feel to it but his voice is huskier. I like it, but I dunno. I don't think I would seek it out like S and G - there's something about the way the two of them harmonise that I find so appealing I think :D.

Actually, now that I have looked through the songs that you posted the links to; I DO remember more of the Simon and Garfunkel songs !  I certainly remember Bridge Over Troubled Water, and also like the Red Rubber Ball song.
I will have to put my headphones on in the morning and listen to the other ones. It is way past my bedtime here, and I already took my melatonin, so it is telling me to quit playing on the computer, and go to sleep...

Like a Bridge Over Troubled Water.....This is one of my all time favorite songs.  Whenever I feel down in the dumps about something, I play this song and it helps to remind me of how many great people I have in my life that I can turn to whenever I need them.

About Bunny
Jade Elizabeth is an eccentric young woman who enjoys writing stories and poems with hidden deeper meanings. She is quoted saying “Writing to me is not a hobby. It's a passion. It's something that lets my thoughts expose themselves, and my heart shine through where other art could not.

Commonly her poems are inspired by love or depression, and are dedicated to the people who encouraged the emotion. Given the chance she will readily pull her poems apart, exposing the deeper and hidden meanings behind her words.

Her stories are usually unspoken messages to those close to her – giving every story a hidden meaning. Some things are better left unsaid, or in her case, expressed indirectly through stories.

Jade used to write Documentation for Simple Machines in her free time, but has since begun studying and working, which takes up most of her free time now.
