My mac charger cable burnt out, so I was forced to go back to pen and paper while a new one was being delivered. Fortunately I was prepared for this and had a spare pack of PaperMate gel pens.

I started with a Bic roller and I was uncomfortable and switched to a gel pen, but it was blue and that didn't make me happy either. Finally I used the black gel pens and managed to 'scrawl' a short story out a pen later. It's much quicker for me to write long hand and the next task is to edit it and read my writing.

I've decided to write now always, as it seems more satisfying and is better than being stuck if the computer crashes or if I have no power cable.

I find it easier to write/draw/whatever on pen and paper because there aren't as many distractions.

edit: I forgot to say my favourite pen. I simply use a mechanical pencil when writing or doodling.

My favourite is Artline Flow. Omg it feels so good and it has pretty colours! :D

I have a white one and a black one. The black one has red, blue, black, and green....and the white one has pink, purple, light blue, and light green. I use the white one way more, it's so much more fun ha ha.

They're both perfect though, they glide so nicely...never had issues with sandy ink or scratching. Never cramped up from it. Never had issues with sweaty or slippery hands, or calluses/blisters (the grip is awesome). Never any issues with ink smudging either, though I don't write with my left hand or wipe the page, some pens will leave a clump on your page and just ruin everything.

It's basically the pen I've been waiting for for my entire life.

I like using anything from Pilot. It is a pen manufacturing company based in Japan. I must admit that one must be very careful when using their products (i.e. Don't leave it uncapped. Never drop it.) but when taken good care of, the pens last very well and write excellently until the last drop of ink. I've seen a lot of brands try to copy their style, such as the pen plastic casing and color availability, but the ink usually gets runny and the writing smudges. Some examples are Leone and Zebra. These brands make cheaper pens, so I usually buy them when I'm on a budget or when I don't need to be so neat. (Math exams, for example!) My favorite pens from them are the retractable Acroball pen and the classic ballpoint pen. I like that the ballpoint pen comes in green and pink, and the shades aren't too dark or too shocking to the eye.

How can you not feel tickled pink with this pen?

BIC all the way. I dislike Pilot pens and others like it. I prefer a nice smooth ballpoint pen. My handwriting looks so much more prettier.

Natty you'd probably like Artline flow too. I used to be addicted to BIC as well before I found these! :D

Never used a pilot one I don't think! It doesn't sound like a great pen if you can't leave it uncapped or drop it. I don't know how many times I drop mine and most of mine don't have caps either ha ha.

I looked at the pic you showed with the Artline pens. It looks like an art pen so  I was think maybe it's a bit thicker writing. I like my writing to be thin. It also looks like an expensive pen. It's very sleek! :)
