Do you guys write novels? Your daily life and experiences? Articles? Events?
What are you guys most interested in writing about?

I’m just curious because I want to know more about majority preferences.

I write scripts. The difficulty bad thing about screenwriting is you can't choose to write about anything. The story you write must appeal to many people (that's commercial value), it must be novel or have a unique twist that gives it that appearance and lastly, it must have some relevance to society because movie-lovers want to experience things vicariously. You just need to know what it is they want.

Complicated? I suppose that's why it would be very difficult to say I write about this or that but since a script can fit into any genre then I'd say, I like writing about crime because I've seen a lot of it.

Wow it's interesting that you write scripts. Do you write for any show in particular or are you just starting up your career?

It is quite complicated to write about what the society wants. I'm interested in the writing of some popular shows. The writing is actually what makes me like a show or not.

Good luck!

I love the idea of acting and scriptwriting...but it's extremely hard. They film all sorts of different scenes at random times....and you really have to know your character to be able to do that. You have to know them so in-depth and know what they know so you grow when they should, etc. It's NOT the sort of easy job I once suspected!

I'm learning quite a bit at the moment about video filming and editing. There's a couple of script writers on here at the moment who are researching film editing and making so they can better understand things for their script. I'm not sure if that will help them or hinder them, but I think if they use their knowledge smart enough they will find it to be an advantage.

Anyway I mostly write essays. I love them. I prefer the subjective ones or the ones I don't have to reference Harvard style. I HATE that.

THAT said I love Word's new citation feature.

Generally, most of my writing takes after many of my life experiences. I also have a tendency to write about events or people that I wish I could experience/meet in real life. Maybe this is a negative way to look at it, as I can sometimes get caught up in making the writing as idyllic as possible, but that seems to be where my thoughts tend to go. I like to write about real-life things that a reader could say, "Hmm, I can relate to that." I used to enjoy writing fantasy, but that's just not where my mind is over the last few years.

I usually write more story ideas than anything else. For example, I'll more than likely think of a scenario first and have to immediately write it down before I lose it. I have lots of ideas on a word document that I can come back to later and flesh them out. The majority of these ideas are fiction based.

I hope this does not make me sound negative but a love-story-gone-wrong appeals to me more than one that wraps up a little too neatly. Love should be messy, difficult and challenging; those ones make the best stories!
