I recently discovered a program on Amazon called Vine Voice. It is for people who write reviews on Amazon products.
You have probably read some of the product reviews on amazon when you were ordering  an item from amazon. Underneath is always the little question of "was this review helpful or not".
This is how Amazon rates its reviewers.
People who are excellent reviewers (that's all of us creative writers, right ?) can be invited to join Vine Voice, and then they are sent products from Amazon to test.
Some of the products can be expensive ones. One person wrote that they received a bicycle worth around $1,000 to test.
When you test the product, then you have 30 days to write a review on that product.

Even though you don't get paid money for writing these reviews; it would be a great way to get free products to try and previews on new books before they are released.

Only Amazon can invite you to join their program; so you can't just decide to join and be a part of it. However, everytime you write a review for a product on Amazon, and people say that it was a helpful review, then your Amazon rating will get better, and then they will invite you to become a Vine Voice product reviewer, and you will start getting products to keep and review.
If you do a search for amazon vine; it is mentioned in several different websites and blogs online, and some are stories from people who actually have become a vine reviewer.
Apparently, they will send you a list of products available to try and you can choose the one you want to test and review, according to what i read.

Another great place to test out products for writing reviews is called BzzAgent  It might only be in the US, I am not sure. You would have to try and sign up.
Once you sign up for BzzAgent; you fill out a profile of what you are interested, and when they have products for you to test, they let you know.
You can see some of the products they are testing when you look  on the webpage.
I have done this for a year or two, and tried some great products.

I would love to join in on that too. Anything with Amazon is amazing and so user friendly. So do you just start writing reviews and wait for them to formally incite you?

If you look at your amazon purchases, and write a review on the last one, then it will keep going back through the list of everything that you have ordered; so you can write reviews on them.
You can also write reviews on articles advertised on Amazon that you know about even if you didn't get it on Amazon.
I had to make a special little username for writing the referrals, and if you go to the vine link that i posted, it should explain everything about how it works.

I don't know how many reviews they need or how long it takes. Since they go by how many people like your reviews; you need to write things thaat will be really helpful so people will click like for the review. The faster you get likes, the sooner you can get invited.
Reviews can be good or bad. If you got a product and it was terrible; then tell that, too. it will help answer qusetions for people and then they may like it more often.

Thanks Happy, this should be easy enough to do since I buy quite a few things on Amazon.

OOOOOOOOOO....thanks so much for this post Happyflowerlady!  :yay: I went right over and started doing reviews of the stuff I've bought recently from Amazon....well, over the last few years as well. I'd have never wrote a review before now, but I figured it couldn't be too hard.  ;)

I hope I get invited soon!

I went window shopping on Amazon the other day and put a few things in my cart that I will buy when payday rolls around. I found some cast iron pots and a little bbq that will be perfect for camping this summer! Once I get them I am going to start working on my reviews.

I don't do enough reviews on Amazon for this, but I may start up again. I do think they needed a system where there were verified and trusted reviewers as we know people can review out of spite and also people pay them to review.

I haven't really looked for the vine attachment to any reviews, but will do. I wonder if they have an option for that as I always go by stars or the most helpful reviews. I start off with the lower star reviews first and work my way up.

I'm so bad about writing reviews that they'd never be likely to invite me. I do shop there quite a bit so I suppose I should do more reviews, though. I've been sent items through survey sites to test and then answer questions which is awesome.

This sounds amazing! I'm going to have to look into it. If I can order something on Amazon instead of having to go out buy it at a store I do. It's a sad day when I can't. I very rarely review anything. I'm going to have to start now! Thanks so much for the information!!!  :P

Okay, every one, here is an update for you ! I discovered that you can get products to try and review without being accepted in to Amazon Vine program.
I just discovered that many companies will give you their products at almost NO cost, if you will try out the product and then write an honest review of the product on Amazon.
If you have ever noticed when reading Amazon reviews, some of them will say that the person got this product at a reduced price for providing an honest review.

To be a product reviewer, you will need a Facebook page, and an Amazon account,  a Prime account is even better, because then shipping is free.
After you sign up as a product tester, you can view a page that shows which products are being offered for review, and what the retail price is , as well as the price you pay for the product.
One item I am testing  retailed at $70, and the Amazon discount price was $19. My price with the coupon was $1, and there are many other products that you can test for under $5.  You are allowed to try as many products as you want to get each day.

The products change each day, so you have to look for the newest specials. What I observed was health (vitamins/supplements) and beauty products, pet products (beds, harness, collars, etc), and many items for cell phones (cases and chargers) and other devices.

Here is my referral link to sign up and test products. Once you are a member, you will also have your own referral link to share with your friends. Referrals can be rewarded with Amazon gift cards (this is a HINT), so please use my referral to sign up with.  (You may have to copy/paste the link if it does not show as a clickable link)

Here is how this has worked so far for me. I have ordered over $350 worth of items (retail price) from Amazon in the last couple of days, and the grand total that I paid to get the products was only $6 by using the coupons .
I am a dedicated penny-pincher, and I just love saving this kind of money. Since we use Amazon all of the time, we have the Prime account, and that means that there was not even any shipping charge on these products.
It is totally awesome, and I am just having so much FUN ! !
